Installation.

The program was developed for running it straight from a CD-ROM and does not require any additional software packages to be installed. Because of that it has neither installing nor uninstalling procedures. Each executable file is corresponding to the book it is supposed to play. In order to install it on your computer you need to unpack the content of the downloaded zip file into the same directory. Into the same directory you need to copy wav files you ripped from the audio CDs naming them by the same pattern as the first file is named, for example for the book “The Great Gatsby” the first file is named gg01.wav, so the rest of the files must be named gg02.wav, gg03.wav, … gg57.wav. While you are ripping audio CDs you can vary the quality of audio files and save space on your hard drive. For example, if you choose the quality “22050 Hz - 16 bits - Mono” you still have good audio quality and use 4 times less disk space than for CD-quality. After that if you do not want to keep these files on your hard drive you can copy them to CD-R or DVD-R and run the program from there. The most popular software for ripping Audio CDs and burning data disks are Easy Media Creator and Nero.
